Χωρίς να θέλω να δώσω τη λάθος εντύπωση, πάντα ήμουν υπέρ των μεταλλαγμένων τροφίμων. Θεωρούσα ότι ήταν το επόμενο βήμα, νομοτελειακά, στην εξέλιξη των τροφίμων. Άλλωστε (νόμιζα), κατά κάποιο τρόπο, η τεχνολογία, το μόνο που κάνει είναι να μας δίνει καλύτερα εργαλεία για να κάνουμε αυτό που έκαναν επί χιλιάδες χρόνια οι αγρότες: να βελτιώνουμε τους καρπούς και να έχουμε καλύτερες σοδειές, να έχουμε φυτά που να είναι πιο ανθεκτικά σε ασθένειες και κλιματικές συνθήκες, πιο παραγωγικά και να παράγουν, με φυσικό τρόπο, ουσίες που χρειαζόμαστε.

On November 30, 2010, the Institute of Medicine’s Food and Nutrition Board (FNB) released their updated recommendations for vitamin D (and calcium), which has sent shockwaves of disappointment through natural health community.
According to the FNB, the new recommended daily allowance (RDA) for pregnant women and adults up to 70 years of age is the same as that for infants and children – a measly 600 IU‘s.
